Those of you wanting to help the linemen, I just spoke with Whitney Dixon Zeagler at Planters Electric Membership Corporation, and many of the linemen are in need of toiletry items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, soap, etc). If you’d like to donate, you can drop it off outside the door of the office at Planters.

Another note- when you go out there to drop off your donations, please don’t block driveways and take a good, quick look at the “tent city” that’s set up for their crews to sleep in. The entirety of our EMC and many other out of town linemen are working their tails off to get your power restored. These people have families and friends the same way you do so let’s help take care of them while they’re away.
