Named for the Shadblow tree that used to stand on the grounds of what is now the Jenison Center for the Arts, Shadblow Theatre was founded in 2015. A sensational summer season of music, laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories is about to begin!

FIRST UP: A Midsummer Night's Dream
Step into a world of enchanted forests, mischievous fairies, confused lovers, and Shakespearean hilarity as our talented high school and college-age performers bring this beloved comedy to life!

Admission is FREE!
Donations are encouraged, with all proceeds benefiting charities selected by the cast and crew.

PERFORMANCE LOCATION:
JCA Black Box

PERFORMANCE TIMES:
• June 5 – 7:30 PM
• June 6 – 2:30 PM & 7:30 PM
• June 7 – 2:30 PM

Seating is limited to approximately 70–75 patrons per performance!

Doors to the Black Box open 30 minutes before curtain time, with the lobby opening one hour prior to each performance.

Attire is casual, but the theater is air-conditioned, so guests may wish to bring a sweater or sweatshirt.

The cast is set! Shadblow Theatre is excited to introduce the talented performers bringing Ordinary Days to life. 💙

This intimate, contemporary musical by Adam Gwon follows four New Yorkers whose lives unexpectedly intersect as they navigate love, loss, ambition, and the search for meaning. With humor, heart, and a beautifully honest score, it’s a reminder that even the smallest moments can be extraordinary.

🎤 GOOD TO KNOW:
Community members interested in the chorus (3rd grade–adult) or orchestra (8th grade+) are welcome—no audition required! Individual signups are on our website.

✨🎭 AUDITIONS ANNOUNCEMENT: Dare to Dream Jr. ✨
Disney’s Dare to Dream Jr. is a high-energy, 60-minute musical r***e celebrating a century of Disney magic through beloved songs, a thrilling mix of contemporary songs, timeless classics, and brand-new medleys from The Princess and the Frog, Coco, Encanto, Frozen II, and more. A production that would surely surprise and delight Disney lovers of all ages. 🎶

Follow a group of Junior Imagineers on their first day at a fictional Walt Disney Imagineering Studio, where they explore their dreams for the future. Along the way, they learn that dreams don’t have to be perfect, and that believing in yourself (and each other!) is what truly matters. With music, teamwork, and imagination, this inspiring show celebrates creativity, individuality, and finding your own path. 💫

🎭 WHO CAN JOIN?
Students 4th–12th grade (Student grade levels refer to the current school year. However, 8th-grade students may audition for either group). Large, flexible cast—lots of opportunities for everyone!

💵 PARTICIPATION FEE: $35 PER STUDENT
This fee includes the production shirt and helps offset production costs. Scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis.
