Missing the legendary Brian Epstein today on the day he died in 1967.

"I tell you, Larry, there is no other band, there will never be any band like them ever, for eternity. They are the best, I say to you Larry, here in 1965, that the children of 2000 will be listening to the Beatles. And I sincerely mean that."

How right he was!

Did you expect to still be celebrating the Beatles in 2027? That's what we'll be doing in Jeffersonville, IN! Will we see you there? ✌️❤️

"The fact that people flock from around the world to live, breathe, sweat, and bleed everything Beatles should be enough of a hunt that it is an exceptional experience."

We just learned that we have lost one of the most essential and longest-serving members of the Abbey Road on the River family, and all of us are devastated.

His name is Hank Allgeier.

Most of you probably never knew Hank’s name. But if you ever came to Abbey Road on the River, you knew his work.
Every sign. Every banner. Every stage scrim. Our tickets. Our schedules. At least half of our programs. Menu boards. Directional signs. Sponsor pieces. Backstage pieces. Promotional pieces.

Hundreds and hundreds of things most people would never think about, but that somehow had to get designed, printed, cut, finished and delivered.

And when I really stop and think about that, I realize Hank may have had more seniority at Abbey Road on the River than almost anybody who ever worked with us. He was making things for this festival before the first Louisville gates ever opened, and he stayed with us year after year after year.
Hank was one of those people who never needed anybody to know how important he was.

He sat at his computer, answered our calls, took our meetings, listened to our sometimes ridiculous ideas and quietly figured out how to make them work. He was professional, sweet, humble, patient, down-to-earth, and incredibly talented.
A quiet genius.

Hank helped create the visual history of Abbey Road on the River.

We are going to miss him terribly.

NEW ORLEANS FINALLY COMES TO ABBEY ROAD ON THE RIVER! 🎸

How did it take us 25 years to bring a band from New Orleans to Abbey Road on the River?

Well, we finally did — and we found a great one.

Please welcome THE WALRUS — A New Orleans Beatles Experience!

These guys are seriously cool — four terrific New Orleans musicians taking some of the greatest music ever written and putting their own New Orleans soul, rhythm and attitude into it.

And we're not bringing them in for just one show.

The Walrus will be with us Saturday, Sunday AND Monday, with three days of performances and different ways of digging into the Beatles songbook — all with that unmistakable New Orleans twist.

After all these years, it's about time we got a little NOLA in our AROTR.

Take a look at these guys. They've got a LOT going on.

🎶 Welcome to Abbey Road on the River, The Walrus! a New Orleans Beatles Experience. Check them out!

That was then (2023) this is now (2026)!
Not much has changed since the last time we had Micky Dolenz at the festival in 2023. But this time Micky brought an even better show this year with 60 years of the Monkees! Plus he performed with both The Cowsills and Laurence Juber at the big finale on Sunday night. Such fun!

What was your favorite thing about Micky Dolenz - 60 Year of The Monkees?
