The GooNOLAs New Orleans #1 comedy troupe - Reverbnation

Re-live those hilarious comedy moments from the mid-century with The GooNOLAs - a zany comedy production which rolls back the years and will have you rolling in the aisles. The GooNOLAs - Stephen James, Bill Lee, and Greg Beaumont - present a radio-style show with a difference, in front of a live audience and reminiscent of vaudeville and music hall. The show recreates your favorite comedy skits, comedy songs, and music, from the 40s thru the 80s, as well as introducing original material from contemporary New Orleans writers. Centerpiece of the production are re-creations of sketches from The Goon Show, the hugely-popular comedy radio-show from the 1950s broadcast by the BBC and which became a major influence for Monty Python's Flying Circus, Benny Hill, and even The Beatles!
