Long before the Civil War, Old Stagecoach Road in Harrison County was the lifeline between Shreveport and Marshall, worn smooth by rumbling stagecoaches and weary travelers. In places, iron-rimmed wheels and pounding horse hooves carved the road so deep that it now sinks nearly twelve feet below the surrounding land, like a scar left in the earth.
Locals say the road never truly emptied. Whispers drift through the trees after dark, and shadowy figures are said to appear along the sunken path. Over the years, travelers and thrill-seekers alike claim to have seen, and even photographed, ghosts still walking the route, as if the road itself refuses to let the past rest.
