Probably one of my favorite portraits to date!

In other news, my portrait of Rowan (Blue glasses) was one of four entries selected by a juried panel to be featured in Ann Kullberg's COLOR Magazine (Sept 2022 issue)!

Now I can officially say that I'm a published artist! 🙌

Finally back in Iowa 🌽 and back on the hunt for the perfect lighting to be able to take pictures of my drawings without bleaching out the details or sending auto-contrast into hyperdrive (this probably isn't it 😆) Just be aware, until then, your drawings will always look better in person than in any picture I can take of it 👍🏼

One of the couple of open drawings l have going on right now. Taking a break before I start on the hair because it’s a bit wild in this one 😆

I always like to have at least a couple of drawings going on at the same time- Switching between drawings helps to “reset” and freshen your eyes when you’ve been staring at one piece for a bit too long
