Who didn't love the fashion from the 80's? Want to have a chance to wear your bright colors, use some AquaNet, or pop your collar-we have one more opportunity for Auditions-A Killer Night at Club 85 tonight at 6 p.m. at the Community Center (189 Mahaffey Street in Jefferson). We had a great group that came out on Sunday and are eager for those coming tonight.

We enjoyed talking through the history and future of the theatre while enjoying some cookies from Murphy's Homestead Bakery. Term Tuesday...did we make that up...well, yes...but let's just call it social media improv!
Cold Read: When a director, during an audition, gives you a piece to read, usually from the script for the show.
Often these cause new (and even seasoned actors) much anxiety. Often directors are also assessing how someone responds when there is pressure, how they make something work when faced with a challenge, and even if they ask for direction in that. It's never expected to be perfect.
JCT loves when we have new community members join in the fun. Never let the fact that you haven't done something before limit if you come out. This weekend is Auditions-A Killer Night at Club 85 which is going to be a fun partner show with Adult Literacy Jackson this October. Come on out and see what fun community theatre can be.

Know our favorite part of Jefferson Community Theatre…COMMUNITY. That’s all that show up to build sets on weekends, those who are sewing costumes…and YOU. The production team of Charlotte’s Web is looking for any vintage farm equipment you may have that could be borrowed for the run of the show. Or maybe you have some gingham fabric laying around that you’d consider donating…we’ll happily give you shout out in our playbill!
