Formerly named the Capital City Players, which was established in 1991, Capital City Productions is a year-round Community Theatre offering both Dinner and Non-Dinner Broadway Productions in the State of Missouri. Located in a unique building that was formerly a seminary sanctuary in Jefferson City, this intimate dinner theatre setting seats 144 people per performance. Broadway musicals, comedies

and dramas are performed throughout the year as well as special events, children’s theater workshops, and educational internships. Fully catered meals are served by An Award Winning Local Caterer or Bring Your Own Food/Snacks. It is 1959 and the day of the Sunday School Christmas Program. As the children rehearse up in the sanctuary, the ladies of the kitchen are finishing up the goody bags and putting final touches on the Nativity pieces.

Little do they know what surprises are in store for them as they are called upon, once again, to step in and save the day!

The Church Basement Ladies is a musical comedy that was inspired by the book Growing Up Lutheran, written by Janet Letnes Martin and Suzann Nelson in 1997. It’s a fun look at what life was like growing up Lutheran in the Midwest in the 1960’s.

Discover life as an islander with the story of the 38 planes that were diverted to Gander on September 11, 2001.

Come from Away is based on the true story of the time when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world.

What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover, when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on September 11, 2001.

Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.

Come From Away is a critically acclaimed musical featuring a culturally relevant script accompanied by a deeply moving score by Irene Sankoff and David Hein.

The show has earned global success with 37 award nominations, 13 of which resulted in wins, most notably Best New Musical at the 2019 Olivier Awards and Outstanding Musical at the 2017 Drama Desk Awards.

The show’s global presence resonates across all audiences as an uplifting reminder of humanity’s ability to come together, no matter what the circumstances.

“Thank You for Being a Friend! – A GOLDEN GIRLS SPICY PARODY MUSICAL” is a LIVE send-up of TV’s The Golden Girls that includes an original pop score, a 1980’s fashion show, and the greatest moments from the original sitcom.

Picture it! Miami Beach, where the beloved four ladies (Blanche, the sexy Southern Bell; Dorothy, the brainy New Yorker; Rose, the dimwitted Midwesterner; and Sophia, the wise cracking Italian) are sharing their peaceful golden years together…that is, until Guest Star, pop singer Ricky Martin moves next door.

His loud, all night, salsa sessions are keeping the ladies from getting a good night’s sleep. What’s worse, they have to get up early and rehearse their act for the annual Shady Pines Retirement Home Talent Show! What ensues is a feud that can only end with one household taking home first place at the talent show.
