I picked up a commerial reel and viewer for the Kal Kan Pet Foods Walt Disney World Dealer / Consumer Contest 1971 (nonstereoscopic). The reel contains great views of the prizes, including various View-Master sets; Bill Burrud of Animal World; covers of Look and Life and Kal Kan Pet Food displays "for profit & prizes". The set comes with a tan viewer with a sticker on it that reads "Roar ahead with Kal Kan-1972". The reel shows prizes consumers can win including 1,000 View-Master cannister sets(!!!), dealer prizes, shows Kal Kan store display, Kal Kan magazine and tv ads for Look and Life and more. The reel imprint reads "Kal Kan Pet Foods Preview, Walt Disney World Dealer/Consumer Contest, non-stereoscopic" However, the non-sterescopic imprint is wrong...the reel does contain stereoscopic images. The dealer and consumer prize images are in 3-D! I wonder who won the cannister sets and other consumer prizes back in October and November in 1971?
