Did you know that if you happen to encounter a skunk in the wild, it isn't necessarily going to end with your getting sprayed? Keep calm, stay quiet, and remember the following:

Skunks will typically stomp their front paws at you; scoot backwards, then lunge forward to stomp their front paws again; repeating this display two or three times as a warning, before they finally lift their tail to spray. This should give you ample time to start backing away slowly...and then boogie on out of the area, before they drop their stink bomb! Phew!

While a chance encounter in the wild with a skunk doesn't have to stink, you know what absolutely would?

What a lovely evening tonight, watching our principal cellist, Aimee Fine Veile , conduct the Jefferson City High School orchestras and choirs at the 88th annual Capitol Caroling! We are so proud of you, Aimee! Did you know that a number of our members are or were music educators, as well?

The relationship between the Symphony and our Jefferson City schools is one that has enabled many students to gain experience playing more advanced literature, and working alongside more seasoned musicians...and the Symphony to add new and growing talent to its ranks!

We hope you enjoy these snippets of the evening!
