Yesterday at the Missouri Library Association Annual Conference Sarah Falter, MRRL’s Osage County Branch Manager, along with Brenda Doyle of Aging Best and Jenn Millard of Central Missouri Community Action were awarded the 2026 Community Partnership Award. These women were recognized for their collaborative efforts to improve the lives of seniors in their shared community. Sarah helped transform the library into a vital hub for seniors in a rural community that previously had no senior or community center. What began at the library as a partnership to provide space, outreach, and programming quickly grew beyond the library’s walls, becoming “Senior Connections,” a thriving program now serving 75–155 seniors each month at the Barefoot Event Center through meals, educational programs, health resources, entertainment, and opportunities to connect. Sarah’s commitment to collaboration, community outreach, and connecting people with the resources they need has made a lasting impact on the seniors of Osage County. Congratulations to Sarah, Brenda, and Jenn!
