The Foothills Festival was developed in 1997 and was continuous until 2000. The focus was to celebrate Walker County by honoring the people, development and culture of the area with music, dancing,

and entertainment. The festival name was derived from Jasper being in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. In 2013, it was the cities goal to provide a FREE concert to the citizens of Jasper. In 2017 Coca Cola joined the City as Title Partner and the festival really took off. With the support of other partners such as: Honda/Hyundai of Jasper, Pinnacle Bank, Carl Cannon Chevrolet, Synovus, Byars/Wright, Jasper Main Street, and more than 40 others - FHF became a truly regional Music festival. In 2019, Headlined by Whiskey Myers and Blues Traveler, the 2 day music festival saw more than 25,000 people and 110 vendors, from all over the country.

A huge thank you to Senator Matt Woods for his continued support of the Foothills Festival and for helping secure an Alabama Tourism Department (Sweet Home Alabama) grant to support the 2026 Metal Central Foothills Festival!

Support like this helps us continue bringing an incredible weekend of free live music, entertainment, food, and fun to downtown Jasper each year. We are also grateful to the Alabama Tourism Department for investing in events that strengthen tourism, support local communities, and showcase all that Alabama has to offer.

We cannot wait to welcome everyone back to Jasper on September 11 & 12 for another unforgettable Foothills Festival weekend! 🎶

🎸 Get ready for this one… it’s BIG!

We are excited to announce that Everclear is coming to the 2026 Metal Central Foothills Festival, taking the stage on Saturday, September 12.

One of the defining bands of ‘90s alternative rock, Everclear has delivered hit after hit for more than three decades, including “Santa Monica,” “Father of Mine,” “I Will Buy You a New Life,” and “Wonderful.” Their sound helped shape a generation, and they continue to bring that same energy to the stage today.

And they sent a special message just for Jasper and the Foothills Festival. You don’t want to miss it!

🎤 Back by popular demand… and it’s been 10 years in the making!

We are excited to welcome Deana Carter back to the Foothills Festival!

One of our most loved performers returns to Jasper for the first time since 2016, taking the stage as the second act on Friday, September 11, at the 2026 Metal Central Foothills Festival.

From her multi-platinum debut, "Did I Shave My Legs for This?," to the timeless hit “Strawberry Wine,” Deana Carter’s music has been the soundtrack to a generation. You are going to want to be there for this one!
