Hey, y’all. Co-Founder Taylor here!
As we begin rolling out our acceptance emails, I wanted to take a moment to address an important issue: Generative AI. I’m not here to lecture you, I’m just here to say that we at Foothills Book Fest strive to maintain the integrity of what we choose to share with our community of readers. As such, we have a “No Generative AI” policy.
We’re pretty flexible with the content we allow at our event (seriously, we’re cool with some weird stuff), but this is a hard line for us.
Thank y’all for your support and trust in us! We hope we continue to earn it.

We have sent out the first round of acceptance emails!

The last week has been full of math (certainly not done by me [Taylor]) to make sure we’re utilizing every square inch of that space. Thanks to Jon, The Illustrious Potentate of Math and Logistics, we have a few more spots than last year!

We’ll be sending out the next round of acceptance emails soon, and we’ll post here when we do. This year is going to be THE BEST YET!

Just putting this out there, Foothills Book Fest will always be FREE to the general public. Why pay over $50 to get into an event, when you can browse for free! Save that $50 to purchase books from our amazing authors. No need for a waitlist either. 😉

Tomorrow, April 24th by 11:59 PM and 59 seconds Central time is the LAST chance you get unless something opens up later. 🤣 You'll hear from us by May 1st if you're in (or not 😌). We hope to get author announcements out early. 🥳

Guess what’s officially open?
📚✨ 2026 Author Registration is OPEN! ✨📚

Okay. Listen. We know we’re a little late announcing it. But in our defense… someone was working on edits, and then the new website. There were a lot of, “I’ll do that tonight,” and then did not. 😅 Author problems.

But good news! Registration for the 2026 Foothills Book Fest is officially open, and we are ready for another amazing year of books, readers, and mild caffeine dependency.

🗓 When: Second Saturday in October (October 10, 2026)
📍 Jasper Civic Center
⏳ Application Deadline: April 15, 2026

Apply now before we all get distracted by a new plot twist, and then all of the booths are gone. This is important. We had over 500 people come through the doors last year. You can't beat that marketing.

Book Fest attendees!!! We have tossed around the idea of selling VIP tickets for the 2026 event, and want to hear from you! What perks would you like to get with an upgraded ticket? Obviously, the ticket price would vary depending on the perks, so we’re thinking a $25-50 price range.

BASIC ADMISSION TO BOOK FEST HAS BEEN AND WILL ALWAYS CONTINUE TO BE FREE!!
