Bringing the style and technical savvy of the east and west coasts to the heart of the Midwest, Veracity Dance Project is an exciting training program for elite-focused dancers age 5-18 years old. Veracity is focused on technical and performance training provided by professional educators, mentors, and coaches. Founder and Artistic Director, Callie Schouten, has a professional resume that spans Br
oadway National Tours, Dinner Theater, Regional Theater, Theme Parks, Cruise Lines, Television, Commercial Dance, and most recently, the Las Vegas Strip. She is a valued and respected competition adjudicator and is currently teaching on the convention circuit. Callie is an award winning choreographer who continues to share her talents with studios and students across the country. The vision of Veracity is simple: Train employable performers. To do so, we must first look at the word "Veracity". Webster's Dictionary defines it as:
"Devotion to the truth; power of conveying or perceiving truth." Technique and conditioning are important foundation bricks to build the staircase to success. Above all else, we are committed to providing a structured program based on technique. All classes are focused on technique and taught by a qualified educator in their specialty style. Class packages and Drop-In rates are available for all VDP classes. Stay tuned! Summer Class Schedule Coming SOON! VDP: The Company, will audition July 12th and July 16th, 2017 at Veracity Dance Project. This elite group of dancers will compete in 4-5 convention/competitions per season as a team. They will also have opportunities to assist, work with reputable guest artists in the professional industry, participate in company photo shoots and promotional footage, perform in community performances, and much more! Company rehearsals will be one day on the weekends and will run approximately 4-5 hours. An Apprentice Company is also being offered starting in July. For those students wishing to continue their dance training, but may not be ready for the full commitment yet, the apprenticeship program offers these students the opportunity to continue to take class with the company, but will only compete one piece with the company. This will give them the experience and team aspect of competition, while keeping their primary focus on training. For more information on VDP: The Company, please email us at: [email protected]. Veracity Dance Project is also community and service minded. We are committed to bringing the arts into our dancer's communities. If you have a project or performance you think we may be right for, please don't hesitate to contact VDP Director, Callie Schouten, or message us here. Each season VDP will pick a charitable organization within our community to support and fundraise for. Do you have a cause you'd like us to consider? We'd love to hear it!
