Janesville Wi Welcome to the Forest of Freaks website, Wisconsin's SCARIEST and LONGEST outdoor haunted forest. We are located in Janesville, WI off of Highway 51, west of I-90 and just south of Route 11 (across the street from Black hawk Technical College). Our facility is Wisconsin's longest outdoor haunted forest, featurin

g a choose your own path adventure, amazing special effects, monsters, scary clowns and more, all living in our forest. The average time to get through the forest is approximately 1 hour and could be longer, if you get out! One of the most popular questions we get is - "Is it scary?". Our facility also has a waiting area filled with bonfires and places to sit and hang out and we also offer concessions - hot apple c***r, popcorn, candy, and soda. Please keep in mind this is an outdoor event so please dress accordingly. We will be open the following days:

Character Auditions

Please audition with a character you already own and can perform.

No AI-generated character concepts or descriptions will be accepted.

If your character doesn’t fit one of our featured roles, or you don’t have a completed character, we’ll be happy to place you in a Side Actor position.

What to Expect

* Actors will be assigned to a specific themed zone based on their character and performance.
* You are expected to remain in your assigned area for the duration of the show.
* Stay in character whenever guests are on the trail.
* Work with your Zone Lead and fellow actors to create the best scares possible.

From the screams and laughter to the paint flying at Shoot-A-Freak and surviving our zombie-infested trail, you helped make our very first summer haunt an unforgettable experience.

🔥 Good news… Zombie Outbreak will be back next July! We already have ideas to make it even bigger, scarier, and more immersive.
