So now that has put the 50th Anniversary poster up on their merchandise site, I feel it's ok to share what the original oil painting looks like. This photo was taken in the spot in my apartment with the best diffuse natural light- behind it you'll see a framed print by Detaille, and you'll also see the A clamps I used, attached to the stretcher bar, as stops for my mahl stick.
The painting is oil on canvas, painted entirely by hand. The dimensions of the canvas are 36" x 48". Buffalo Big Print did the scan, as well as printing on fine art paper.
The painting is property of Phil Ehart, and Kansas owns the rights of reproduction.
