Tenants and homeowners at risk of eviction and foreclosure are planning to rally on Boston Common Sunday afternoon to press state lawmakers to take action to prevent what they describe as a looming statewide eviction crisis.

Our STORY CLUB BOSTON show tonight is a fundraiser for HomeStart, an organization here in Boston that seeks to end homeless. Their mission:

To end homelessness in Greater Boston by assisting individuals in obtaining housing and settling into the community, and by developing strategies to prevent homelessness before it starts.

Their work is even more important now as a wave of evictions related to the current pandemic are predicted once the moratorium on freezing evictions ends. Joining us on our show will be HomeStart’s Lang Hayes who will talk about their efforts now and in the future and how you can help.

You’ll also have the opportunity to make a donation to HomeStart to help their efforts. $20, $10, $5, whatever you can helps.

We’ll have great storytellers, some fun hosts and even an open mic where you can tell your eight-minute story. Join us. It’ll be a great time.
