Josho Kage - Session 24 Month of Goat/Doji

Toshi Ranbo finds itself once again home to the many who served the Imperial Legion in it's endevour to liberate the Spider Clan from the territorial siege they found themselves under in the Colonies. Although the they accomplished their task it was not without loss as the Dragon Clan now stands without a Champion, Mirumoto Shikei having fallen beneath the might of the Beast of Death known as Chiisai and it's rider Kisada II. Those who had followed him to join Daigotsu Kanpeki on the front lines would have surely died or been trapped as well if not for the arrival of a loan shugenja who managed to break through the lines with the rest of the Dragon legion and open a portal for their retreat.

Word has spread of Kisada II's rage at the death of his son Hisoka at the hands of his brother Hida Yama. It is said that the "mountain" a name he had earned this past winter had cut a path through the Crab Legion and confronted his brother with an Ogre Club a feat attested to by the river of his own blood left behind him as he ignored the many incoming attacks which had landed upon him and even the dagger that was sticking out of his back. Albeit mighty the mountain fell upon the field the roar of challenge as he called his father's name on his lips.

There were many glorious moments which are being told and retold throughout the city of the various feats accomplished by those on the front lines such as the many duels on the field and one in particular which astonished many which pit a Kitsuki courtier versus one of the Akoda Nikutai (Corporal). Then there was the lone Mantis who stood down an elephant with just knives in her hand as it advanced on the line upon which the Spider refuges were being escorted out.

But not all the glory to be spoken of happened on the front lines as one of the Imperial Legions own newly appointed Nikutai (Corporal) managed to secure a much needed Jade Mine. Once again providing the Empire with a source to fight the spreading Taint.

The capital itself was peaceful but for an incident reported at the Lotus and Petal tea & sake house which caused the doors to shut for the first time in years. Word is that four Doshin were killed but the matter was handled.

As the Burning Summer rages in the colonies still as Kisada II named Sh**un of the False Emperor Iweko II Seiken continues to carve a path through the colonies and route those who would resist and yet cools within the Empire proper as although prepared for any attempted assault by Seiken's forces. Amidst the many losses the Emerald Empire mourns and yet prepares for what looks to be a harsh winter as reports of snow in some provinces have already reached the capital as have reports begun to grow of darker things prowling the lands.
