People ask me all the time how long I have been drawing and the only answer I know to respond with is, what age do you first pick up a crayon? The first memory I have of creating art is in the 4th grade when I w
as enrolled to attend Lake Forest Elementary, Art Magnet School. I don’t recall why I attended an art magnet school; I just know that those were my favorite memories of beginning to learn art. At Lake Forest I learned how to craft pottery, paint, draw and more. Ever since I can remember I have been drawing on my mom’s walls and making her angry. I would find old pieces of wood in my dad’s garage late at night and paint murals on them. It is something that has just come natural to me. It helps me focus and is by far my favorite pass time. I sell precious pieces of art on the side to make money and save space so my husband doesn't get upset with the artwork build up lying around. I don't have a dream to be the next Michael Angelo, Da Vinci, or Rembrandt. My dream is simple. My dream and long term life goal is to own a Painting party business like no one has ever been to. I have excellent packages offered with precious painting designs, and my business will bring fun with experiences no one else provides in their parties. If you have never heard of a painting party, then let me paint you a picture. Imagine you want to throw a party. A girls night out, a mommy luncheon, a very memorable birthday party, or even go on a group date night but you don't have any ideas. Don't worry, I have all the ideas! You are the host, and I bring everything you need for your painting party to you and your guests. A painting party is where you paint an acrylic painting (pre-selected by the host) to paint while you and your guest enjoy snacks, drinks and whatever delights you would like. At the end of the event you will have made wonderful memories, have had a lot of laughs because there is no way you can do this without cracking a laugh at least once! All while setting your inner artist free. Precious Pieces doesn't offer just mobile painting parties but I offer wall Murals as well. These pieces of work stay forever until covered. These are memories for children and décor to make your home, office, business, feel more like you. Every design will be made custom for you, and will receive the detail that they each deserve. You will love your walls when I leave.
