Back in 2008 when I was pregnant with my middle child, I was very sick and unable to work. Sitting at home was driving me absolutely mad, so I decided to take up a hobby. I had tried knitting as a kid, but I always thought those long needles were so awkward. Crochet hooks are short, and there is only ONE of them, making it seem, to me, more simple. But it takes practice. LOTS of practice. Over the

years I have become skilled at following patterns designed by others, as well as creating unique items that were designed by me. Everything I make is infused with my love for this form of art. And crocheted items make great gifts for that "person who has everything!"

I take great pride in my work, and am always trying to learn new techniques and improve my skills. I never turn down a challenge!! When I first began learning, I picked up a pattern that was labeled as intermediate, and I was determined that I would complete the project. After many frustrating hours of trying to figure out what on earth I was doing, I finally finished my Halloween skull wreath, which I will share in my photos.

Brief rant...

Everyone keeps asking me how much... here's the thing. This particular item takes about 5 hours, and yarn is not free. If you were going to work for 5 hours, you would expect to be compensated at your hourly rate of 8 or 12 or 18 or whatever. 5 x 12 = $60... If I charge $25 for this, it works out to $5/hr. Not counting the yarn. If you like my work, please make me a reasonable offer. If you can "get it cheaper" somewhere else, then by all means, go for it!! My time is valuable to more people than just me (i.e. kids), and this crochet skill I have developed over the last dozen or so years is priceless! If you are going to ask me to make something, please be prepared to offer adequate compensation. I may ask for less, or nothing at all, but that's MY prerogative. If you're looking for a handout, please look somewhere else.

And yes, I'm aware of my design flaws. This kind of thing is worked diagonally and I'm still tryna figure out how to compensate for the slanting of the stitch groups. Not horrible for a first run, tho!! 🤷‍♀️ please be kind lol
