Back in 2008 when I was pregnant with my middle child, I was very sick and unable to work. Sitting at home was driving me absolutely mad, so I decided to take up a hobby. I had tried knitting as a kid, but I always thought those long needles were so awkward. Crochet hooks are short, and there is only ONE of them, making it seem, to me, more simple. But it takes practice. LOTS of practice. Over the years I have become skilled at following patterns designed by others, as well as creating unique items that were designed by me. Everything I make is infused with my love for this form of art. And crocheted items make great gifts for that "person who has everything!"
I take great pride in my work, and am always trying to learn new techniques and improve my skills. I never turn down a challenge!! When I first began learning, I picked up a pattern that was labeled as intermediate, and I was determined that I would complete the project. After many frustrating hours of trying to figure out what on earth I was doing, I finally finished my Halloween skull wreath, which I will share in my photos.
