About thrity five years ago I started a entertainment photography business with a good friend and partner,"Greg Freeland".We worked our way in to photograph shows for Sidney Drashin of Jet Set Enterprises in the Jacksonville Coliseum. We shot bands like Dire Straits,Charlie Daniels,Johnny Winters, Heart,Molly Hatchet,Outlaws with J***y Van Zant Band also Jimmie Van Zant and a band the was next ban
d to make it big from Jax area The Curtis Willis Band,Anyway my partner and good friend Greg, was killed in a auto accident and I just got out of photography.I was also playing a harp in a group called,"Loose Change" where when they split up I gave it up.Or was it I got married and had three sons.Anyway years later I was divorced ,my sons in college ,no more child support or working two jobs.So one night a years ago a new found friend ,"Charlie Walker"let me get on stage and play harp and that's when I came to the Cross Roads of life.Started playing again and taking photos too,and my life had meaning again. Another friend Chuck Clynes, heard me playing my harp to a song on the radio after parking my truck after a day of work .Well Chuck got me to go to Open Mics and play. Well I started going more to Open Mics where I noticed the people there lived for Open Mic nights. So I thought someone should take pictures of these nights. So I bought a camera and I began clicking away. Now it was digital and not film and I had to learn about the new digital photography. Well I'm out meeting a lot of great people now from open mics to concerts and enjoying myself. There's nothing like making it sound good or taking that one photo in hundreds that is the one.So for the ones who come up and say Thanks, I say THANK YOU. For it was Music and Photography that gave my life some meaning again, so even as of today I still donate my photos and just ask the musicians to give me credit if they use one . In giving my life some meaning, has been my payment and worth it with every photo. Thanks again, Charlie Walker and "Chuck Clynes may he RIP",for the chance and the push. Also thanks to all the Musicians who allow me to do my thing and who give me credits. Another thanks to all the fans with their compliments and allowing me to to capture the moments and sometimes blocking your view while walking back and forth to get that shot and memory . That is what I try to capture, the Memories for us all to look back on. Thanks To All, Signed Frank Allen Sr
