The company started out in 1998 with nothing more than a passion for being a DJ, and a love for all types of music. After a small personal loan I purchased some over priced, and out dated speakers, a couple of old front loading cd players, an amplifier, a mixer
, and any music I could find at local pawn shops and music stores.(Millennials have no idea what a music store is ) After a few free or demo gigs, I finally booked my first gig with MCCS at Camp Lejeune . As my company grew and became more popular, my now close friend Carol Jamison became the chairperson for Onslow County Relay For Life. Ten years later I had been a DJ at nightclubs, bars, weddings, company gatherings, charity events, Marine Corps Balls, and everything in between. I was so busy I had to add 3 DJs to help cover all the events I had booked. It was some of the best times of my DJ career. Now nearly 20 years into this I have a few folks that help. But I realized that people were not hiring "Bright Entertainment", they were hiring "DJ Ernie". Many of the deejays that worked with me have either changed careers or successfully started their own DJ companies.I still have a few folks helping me with larger events. But these days when people book Bright Entertainment, they get the original dancing DJ...also known as simply Ernie or DJ Ernie. I am Bright Entertainment.
