There is so much to celebrate! 🩰🤍

Congratulations to all of our dancers who have been cast in our local Nutcracker productions! We are incredibly proud of the dedication, discipline, and artistry you are bringing into this beautiful holiday tradition. ✨🎄

And we want to take a moment to BRAG on our dancers and all of the incredible opportunities they embraced this summer! From summer intensives and training programs to new experiences, new teachers, new choreography, and new stages—you showed up, worked hard, and continued to grow. 🌟

As we begin a new school year and another season of dance, we hope you carry with you the most important part of your training:

Technique gives you the tools.
Artistry gives you something to say.
And your heart gives your dancing meaning. 🤍

✨ WELCOME BACK, SALT DANCE COLLECTIVE! ✨

The studio is alive again, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome our dancers back for a new season of movement, creativity, discovery, and growth. 🖤

We are especially excited to welcome our new dancers to Salt Dance Collective and look forward to seeing so many bright young artists come through our doors throughout the year. There is nothing quite like the energy of a studio filled with dancers learning, working, creating, and inspiring one another.

And this is just the beginning! ✨

We are forming a committed group of students who will work closely with our faculty next year: Evan Pitts, Matthew Doolin, Emily Poli (day-to-day operations), and myself, Suzanne Saltmarsh. We are also pleased to have Elizabeth Riddick, Ashley Brandt and Madysen Felber as a regular guest artists for this group. Program Schedule:
• Tuesdays: 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM
• Thursdays: 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM
• Saturdays: 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM

(Schedule may adjust slightly for local Nutcracker participation.)

Audition Information:

We will hold a Junior Company- "Salt Dance Collective" Second audition on Thursday August 6, 2026 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM, open to all dancers in our program and the community.

During the audition:
• Dancers will be evaluated by our faculty
• Senior dancers will serve as demonstrators
• Students will work in ballet (flat slippers and pointe, if applicable) and contemporary
• Dancers will learn a short variation to assess their ability to pick up material and retain details

✨ Dancing is like magic… it transforms us from the inside out. 🦋
Join me this Saturday, August 1 and 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM for a Master Ballet Class at Saltmarsh Dance!
We’ll focus on breath, length through the spine, alignment, artistry, musicality, and expanding your technical facility—all while rediscovering the joy of dancing.
I would especially love to see some of my former students who are home from university, on summer break, or between company seasons. It would mean so much to reconnect and dance together again.
And if you’ve been wondering whether you should stop by, take a class, or simply open the studio door… the answer is YES! You are welcome here.
