A message to our Marching Southerners family:

The Marching Southerners are excited to be in Kennesaw tonight supporting the Gamecocks and representing Jax State.
We have been informed by the host institution that our front ensemble will not be permitted on the field for our halftime performance. Because the front ensemble is an integral part of our production, the Marching Southerners will unfortunately be unable to present our field show as planned.

Jax State is a student-centered university, and that commitment extends to every student who represents our institution. Every member of the Marching Southerners contributes to the success of this organization, and we believe each of them deserves to be valued as an essential part of the ensemble. We will not take the field while leaving approximately 30 of our students behind. Therefore, if our entire organization is not permitted to perform, the Marching Southerners will respectfully decline to present a field performance.

Our students came prepared and were looking forward to performing for the many Jax State fans, families, and alumni who will be in attendance. We know many of you were looking forward to seeing the Southerners take the field, and we share your disappointment.

While we will not be able to perform our field show, the Marching Southerners will be there in full force supporting the Gamecocks throughout the game. We are incredibly proud of our students and appreciate the tremendous support of the Southerners family wherever we go.

Go Gamecocks and Blow Southerners!
