Thank you to everyone for celebrating our anniversary with us this past weekend & for making it so incredibly special. I couldn't have dreamt of a better turn out for all of our events. As always, thank you for making the journey near & far to our events, for keeping our dance floor packed, & for filling our studio with your beautiful smiles, laughter, & energy!
Thank you to all the new faces for having the bravery to try something new (welcome to the family!) & thank you to all the veteran dancers who helped make the newbies feel at home! I can't tell you how much I appreciate the impact you have in creating the friendly atmosphere we at DSJ strive for. We are so very fortunate to belong to such an incredible dance family here in North Florida! ❤️💃🕺❤️
I seriously can't thank my staff & volunteers enough for going above and beyond. Thank you for sticking by me & having my back throughout the madness & crazy hours to make it happen! You guys are my heroes! I couldn't ask for a better team or closer friends and I honestly don't know what I'd do without you! ❤️💪❤️
Big thanks to the two most phenomenal DJs: DJ J-Sus who DJs all our Latin Addiction parties, and DJ Maitrex who DJs for us at Ortega River Club (see you there Friday!)! Thank you both for rocking our socks off with non-stop jams, the perfect soundtracks for our anniversary events, keeping everyone dancing all night long. It's such a blessing to have you two! You're the best! ❤️🎵❤️
Shout out to El Calle Dance Company & Malembe for their absolutely FIRE performances! Mad respect for all the hard work that goes into putting together a tight performance. Thank you for filling our hearts with inspiration! ❤️🔥❤️
Also a shout out to all the studios who came out to show support, especially Christian Sola for volunteering & donating tickets to the Miami Dance Fusion Festival to a couple of our lucky guests. We really appreciate all your support not just this past weekend but over the past several years! ❤️🤝❤️
And a very special thank you to our phenomenal guest instructors, Alondra Torres, and of course DSJ co-founder Isaiah Meders and his partner Hannah. You're all so incredibly sweet, incredibly talented, & it's always such a treat to have you back in town. Thank you for flying in from California & sharing the skills & the joy you exude both on & off the dance floor! We have Isaiah to thank for being the first to bring social Latin dancing to Jacksonville, & for starting DSJ back in 2005. This city wouldn't be the same without you! It's such an honor to carry on your legacy here with DSJ! ❤️🏆❤️
