Teams - Particularly early-arriving sprint car teams. PLEASE do your best to pit somewhat close to the person next to you. If you are leaving space, make sure it's not oversized for a single trailer. You don't need to cram in - you can still have some space, but there is PLENTY of room in the pits for the number of trailers we expect in 3 classes. We really don't want to park people out in the overflow simply becuase you decided to take up a mile between you and the rig next to you. Do your best and use some sense and courtesy please!

And as for the pits. We figured out our pit speaker issue and it's blown speakers - which we are working on replacing. We patched and parted 3 speakers to get through the next couple of weeks before we upgrade the whole speaker system in both the grandstand and pits. It's certainly not loud, but the bleacher areas should have sound as well as turns 3-4. Sorry... but that's what you've got tonight.

Let's call it "Rookie Night"! Two very familiar "Rookies" sit in 1st and 3rd of the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints point standings as the rookies and the rest of our Jacksonville regulars get to finally play on their home turf! One of our most long-awaited shows that's been brewing for a couple of years - that mother nature always found a way out of - is going to happen tonight. Don't miss this one. See you at 7!

This Friday Night - It's the rescheduled Bragging Rights Night featuing the long-awaited Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints, along with Street Stocks and 305 Sprints.

Yes, it's been 'one of those years so far - but glad we found a spot to reschedule this one! Truly a night you don't want to miss - and we've missed plenty in 2026. But at least nobody can say "going to the speedway is getting old!"

Not many nights left this season - you probably should find a way to make it to this one. See you Friday!

The Premiere for Sunday August 16th is cancelled. Due to rain at both Coles County Speedway Friday and again today, along with the huge rain we received this morning and potentially some more tomorrow - USAC Officials and both tracks decided to cancel the whole USAC trip to Illinois this weekend. We will do this event again next year. We were looking forward to it.

As for what we do with our street stock make-up? We will figure it out in the coming days. Weather certainly hasn't been our friend this season. Hopefully it gets better heading into our remaining upcoming events.

Not sure how we would have pulled this off on Sunday anyway. I've seen this track flooded plenty of times... But this current view I'll post in comments is the most I've ever seen.

This weekend's USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship events at Coles County Speedway & Jacksonville Speedway have been rained out.

However, the Coles County event has been rescheduled as part of stacked Labor Day weekend of racing for USAC.

The USAC National Midget season resumes on the first weekend of September..

▪️ Sunday, September 6 - Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin

▪️ Monday, September 7 - Coles County Speedway on Monday, September 7

Less than 48 hours and the pits will be filling up for The Premiere this Sunday August 16th. A FIRST for Jacksonville Speedway with USAC Midgets appearing at one of the best midget tracks in America (ours!) for the first time!

410 Sprints will also be racing along with our always edge-of-your-seat Street Stock class with 2 features on the card.

Grandstands open a 4:30. Hot Laps 5:15. Racing at 6:00. There isn't anything more exiting you are going to find to do on a Sunday than watch the best midget drivers in the world throwing sliders and banging the walls of Jacksonville Speedway! See you then!

This Sunday August 16 is The Premiere! In addition to USAC Midgets and Street Stocks, we have added 410 Sprints and the makeup street stock feature. (We will run the make-up street stock feature first after opening ceremonies)

Street Stocks and Sprints - Pre-Registration is open at app.jacksonvillespeedway.com. Still drawing for $100. Closes at 1pm Sunday.

Running order: Midgets, Sprints, Street Stocks.

It should be one heck of a show! See you Sunday!

It's the Premiere this Sunday August 16th featuring the NOS Energy USAC Midgets plus 410 Wing Sprints and Street Stocks.

Grandstands open at 4:30, Racing at 6:00 (Hour Early)

Adult Admission $25, Kids 11-18 $5. Kids 10 and under Free.

Big change to The Premiere next Sunday August 16th.

We are adding 410 Sprint Cars to the show! Start time will be an hour earlier with hot laps at 5:15 - Racing at 6:00. Full details/prices etc will be posted on Monday.

Why? Because we might as well turn a historical first appearance of USAC Midgets at Jacksonville Speedway into something even bigger. When we scheduled this over the winter I was focused on "staying on budget" not knowing what to expect from this show - especially on a Sunday.

But then last week, I found an old Speedway T-shirt we had made for staff a decade ago... on the back it said "Welcome To The Big Show". That got me thinking - could this show get bigger? Were we really sticking our neck out to be the biggest it could be?

So - we are deep enough into the season with so many cancellations and a couple weeks of boredom that we are going to blow the budget and put on the BIGGEST show we can - a "can't miss" event! And part of that math is counting on you to show-up and support the effort!

So if your calendars aren't already circled - get circling them. Next Sunday August 16th it's The Premiere featuring USAC Midgets, 410 Sprint Cars, Street Stocks and a make-up Street Stock feature!

Races for Friday July 31 at Jacksonville Speedway are canceled!

You know the story by now. It's Thursday night and everything says it's going to rain some late tomorrow morning and then again during race time in the evening. Not dragging everyone here just to make sure our arms actually get wet.

Spread the word. Terrible year for Friday weather to say the least. This was going to be a pretty good one. See you in a couple of weeks!

I'll figure out how to handle the micro makeup from last Friday within the next couple of days.
