The title comes from a wel known saying about how we come to understand people by what they produce, what they create, cultivate, and put into the world.

This exhibition explores fruit as both subject and symbol as something we grow, something we consume, and something that represents labor, identity, and abundance.

We invite artists to explore fruit in all its forms: literal, symbolic, sensual, and conceptual. What do we create? What do we offer? What does it reveal?

A Sneaker Culture Art Exhibition — Year Two

The Petite Jax is excited to announce the return of Bless Your Sole, an exhibition exploring the creativity, storytelling, and cultural significance of sneakers through art.

We are seeking artists working in all mediums whose work centers around sneakers, shoes, and sneaker culture as subject matter, material, or inspiration.

This show is about how sneakers exist beyond fashion as symbols of identity, memory, community, status, creativity, and personal expression.

AFROMAGNETIC - The Undeniable Force of Black Creativity 🧲 🧲 🧲

THE PETITE JAX is calling for artists whose work centers Black life, identity, and cultural expression for a Black History Month exhibition honoring Blackness as a living, evolving force not just a moment in history. This showcase highlights lived experience, memory, culture, love, resistance, and joy, presented without dilution, explanation, or apology.

What makes the space that the show is taking place at? It is the place where the concept of The Petite once called Black Opal The Art Experience was born nearly 10 years ago! Stepping back into this space makes this body of work feel more full circle.
