The clause library that lives where you're already typing.

The old way means searching a shared drive for the last time this clause got used, hoping whoever saved it named the file sensibly. The new way suggests approved clause language directly inside Word, so consistency stops depending on who remembers where the good version lives. Redlines tend to shrink too, since the first draft is already closer to approved language.

Every clause reused correctly is one less thing legal has to re-review from scratch.

Every legal team's December looks the same. It's not the holidays making it hard.

Contracts pile up right as budgets reset and vendors push to close before year-end, and nothing forces that work to spread out evenly across the year. Approval queues are usually what breaks first, since most routing was never built to handle a spike. The instinct is to add people to the queue, but that mostly just moves the bottleneck somewhere else.

What actually helps is a workflow that scales with volume instead of headcount.

Unpopular opinion: your CLM shouldn't replace your SharePoint. It should use it.

Most CLM buying guides start with the same advice, migrate everything to a new platform. That advice is expensive in a way the sales deck doesn't mention. Migration means retraining every team that touches a contract, and adoption usually stalls the moment a tool asks people to leave Microsoft 365 for something new.

The category is consolidating right now. Enterprise CLM platforms are absorbing more AI features at the top, while lighter point tools are pulling simple review work out at the bottom. The mid-market, Microsoft-shop buyer is stuck between both, and largely unserved.

Dock 365 is built inside Word, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint from day one, not bolted on top.

One missing document can hold up an entire vendor onboarding.

It's a familiar pattern. A single compliance document, like a signed Business Associate Agreement, stalls the whole process. Vendor details get collected by email, then re-entered by hand into a separate system, duplicating the same work twice. Sometimes a vendor gets system access before vetting is even finished, because the compliance step and the access step were never actually connected.

Onboarding breaks down when compliance and data entry live apart from the contract itself.

If you'd like to see how Dock 365 keeps compliance documents and vendor data tied to one record from day one, book a demo and we'll walk you through it.

Four questions. One costly answer if you get them wrong.

Which contracts renew in the next 90 days? Does that date live with the contract, or with a person? Who's notified when the cancellation window opens, and how many days out? If that person is unavailable, does anyone else find out in time?

The pattern behind all four: the renewal date needs to live with the contract, not in a tracker someone has to remember to check.

In Dock 365, renewal reminders are tied to the contract record and appear directly in Outlook.

SharePoint isn't your contract problem. What you built on top of it is.

"We already keep contracts in SharePoint" is something we hear constantly — and it rarely means what it sounds like. Usually it means: no real search across contract content, no visibility into who's actually signed what, a homegrown Nintex or Power Apps workflow built by whoever had time, and external vendors locked out so redlines still happen by email anyway.

Plain SharePoint is a filing cabinet. Sometimes a well-organized one. But a filing cabinet doesn't tell you what's expiring, who signed what, or where a contract got stuck — and that's the actual gap.

Dock 365 doesn't ask you to leave SharePoint. It's the CLM layer built on top of the one your team already has.

Does this sound like your setup right now?

Privity of contract defines who has the legal right to enforce the terms of an agreement, making it a fundamental concept in contract management.
