A favorite image of mine is of a blood moon. I also captured a closer composition that filled the frame with the moon, but I prefer this one. It puts the moon in perspective against the night sky and reveals stars that are invisible during a standard full moon.

Hopefully today’s launching of Starship test flight #13 will go as planned. For a week I watched Starship being prepared for flight. Long after the crowds had gone, I stood beside a quiet pond on Highway 4.
