Although she gifted us many of the best songs ever written, perhaps one of the greatest things Dolly Parton has ever given us has nothing to do with a song.

It’s the reminder that kindness never goes out of style. That you can stand firmly in who you are while still making room for someone who is completely different from you. That being a good human being doesn’t require everyone to look alike, think alike, love alike or live alike.

There’s room for all of us.

At the Fair, that idea feels especially true. Different generations, different backgrounds, different stories -all walking through the same gates, sharing the same food, music, laughter and memories. It’s a beautiful sight to see.

Be kind. Be curious. Make room for people.
