Divinely inspired and created for , a nonprofit that helps rescue victims from the life of s*x trafficking, this painting has been nothing short of miraculous. It was a year in the making, but it’s finally finished and resides now at its new home in Washington.

Before I began working on it, I knew very little about the dark world of human trafficking but my eyes have been opened to this sinister trade that is taking place in our own backyard. I’ve learned some very uncomfortable truths:

1) The United States is the largest contributor of human trafficking in the world
2) The state of Florida ranks third in the nation in reported cases
3) Miami is 5th in the US, followed closely by Orlando in the numbers of s*x trafficking cases. Jacksonville is 3rd in the state.
4) The average age that girls start being trafficked is between 12-14 years old

Now that I’m aware, I had to share. January was Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and though it has passed, trafficking is ever present.

So what can we do?

•If you see something, say something.
•Report it to authorities.
•Post about it on your social media.
•Volunteer and support anti- trafficking efforts in your community.

Divinely inspired and created for , a nonprofit that helps rescue victims from the life of s*x trafficking, this painting has been nothing short of miraculous. It was a year in the making, but finally finished and resides now at it’s new home in Washington.

Making outlet covers disappear is one of my favorite challenges. Always different and somewhat tedious, each one is a miniature work of art. This particular home gave me the opportunity to do 38 different covers, all in different pieces of travertine, and some overlapping a grout line.

🤔 Not all murals are large scale projects. A mural is any piece of graphic artwork that is painted or applied directly to a wall, ceiling or other permanent substrate 🙂

I heard somebody say, “Teamwork makes the dream work” yesterday as we were painting, and we all laughed. But no lies were told 😂
Grateful to take part in this year and help on her beautiful tribute mural, that has a backstory with heart. So much fun pitching in with , , Wendy, Kim and others as temperatures plummeted and the winds picked up. See you next year! 🙏😊♥️
Maybe then it will be called Mural Hill instead of Murray Hill 😉

Faux real! 🤩 Before and afters of a recent faux wood finish project. Matching surrounding woodwork is a challenge, which I humbly and graciously accept.
This exterior front entry door is not made from wood, but was faux finished to match the pecky cypress ceiling on the porch overhang. Custom colors were mixed to act as a suitable base color before the wood graining stains were added. Finally, a protective clear coat is applied to help the paint survive the hot and humid Florida weather.

One of my favorite commission pieces to create, this seascape has a lot of heart 💙 🩵 🩶

Capturing not only a moment in time, but a place. By using materials specific to the location coordinates on a map, this one of a kind canvas is a painting to remember.

Not only does the artwork capture the sea and the sand, these elements are part of the painting.
