Surfing has been a part of Florida's history since it was introduced to the state in the early 1930's. The stoke is well and alive in the Sunshine State thanks to so many ambassadors of stoke. Thank you so much to NE Florida's own "The Mayor" Mitch Kaufman for sharing these images with Spring Fling Sheriff Jimmy Jarboe (right) in Neptune beach with one of the areas first Surfboards. St Augustine is the oldest city in the U.S. and still steals our hearts and imagination harkening back to yesteryear. Our love for the gem of the First Coast is at the heart of Florida's history. Thank you to the St. Augustine Historical Society for sharing these images.

Did you know that oranges are not native to Florida? The seeds of the best-known citrus plant were imported by Spanish settler's in the 1500. Since then, Florida and oranges have become synonymous and it's hard to think of one without the other.

Now, the question remains which came first, the fruit or the color? Thanks to our friends at the for sharing such refreshing images with us.
