Part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, The Play That Goes Wrong is a riotous farce about a local theatre troupe attempting to stage a 1920s murder mystery—only to have everything that can go wrong, go spectacularly wrong. Props disappear, actors forget lines, set pieces collapse, and chaos reigns in this side-splitting comedy that celebrates the joy of live theatre and the beautiful art of things falling apart.

Other recent credits include Alice by Heart at the 5 & Dime (Queen of Hearts), and Snow White in Disenchanted with ABET. The re-imagined Studio Stage here at Players by the Sea now features seating and performance space arrangements that can be changed for each production! This allows us to expand and challenge our storytelling capabilities for years to come. 💜

Special, special thanks to The 5 & Dime Theatre Co. and Holly & Redgie Gutshall for the donation of these chairs! They are more comfortable and more spacious, making the experience of watching a Studio Stage production so delightful.

Michael is thrilled to make his musical theatre debut as Flick in Violet at Players by the Sea. A gentle dreamer and a man who carries the weight of his journey with quiet strength, Flick is a role Michael is honored to portray. His previous stage work includes the role of Jeff in FSCJ’s production of the play Other Lifeforms. VIOLET officially reopens our Studio Stage after 14 months of remediation, recovery, and rebuilding from the fire and flood!

It feels especially fitting that the first production to return to this stage is a story about healing, resilience, and discovering beauty in unexpected places.
