Registration for J.A.M.M. Junior is open! All we need is you!

Do you love to sing? How about musical theatre? Looking for an outlet to express yourself with others who share this same passion? Then this is the place for you!

J.A.M.M. Junior is a community singing group with a focus on pop, contemporary, and musical theatre genres that will challenge you to be your best. First and foremost, this is an outlet to have fun with music, make friendships, and grow as a individual with life skills. The arts have always been a safe space for children, teens, and adults. The theatre community is built on acceptance, guidance, leadership, and creativity. These values allow participants to gain confidence and public engagement skills, navigate challenges, and develop critical thinking skills. The arts boost self-esteem, promote team building, focus on time management, and help reduce stress and anxiety in a collaborative environment.

This group is intended for ages 10-16 and will take place on Thursdays from 5:30-7:00pm. Tuition is $80 a month (Individual music, rehearsal space fee, and instruction are taken from this) or a drop in fee of $25 per session for those who would like to try out a session first. Cash, Checks, and digital payments such as Venmo, Square and Credit Cards are accepted.

This group will be running on a three month rotation. We will be doing three different songs, (one musical theatre, one contemporary, one classic hit) per rotation. This schedule will be posted in advance so members will know the line up of songs before committing to the rotation. There will be at least one if not two other adults present at all rehearsals to help answer questions, distribute supplies, and roam if anyone needs anything. Parents are welcome to stay for rehearsal if preferred but overall, it is a closed rehearsal space.

All are welcome but participants should be able to match pitch, take and follow direction, work in group settings, and have a positive and passionate attitude about the experience. All potential members will have a free consultation with the Director Andi and members of the MNE board before admittance.

J.A.M.M stands for the Jackson Area Music Movement. Our goal is to provide an outlet for those that are 16+ in our community looking for a singing group that focuses primarily on musical theatre, contemporary, and pop genres. The expectation is that we provide quality music to the Jackson Community! We do have performance possibilities There will be a performance group within this group. If you are interested in being part of this group but do not wish to perform, we still have a spot for you. This would be called an auxiliary member. First and foremost, this is an musical outlet for likeminded people to have fun!

J.A.M.M. was founded in 2015 and paused in 2024. After taking a break, refocusing on our vision, and looking at the future, we have decided to bring the group out of it's hiatus starting September 2025.The concept is to have a group of skilled performers who are able to perform in group numbers as well as individuals. This is a fast paced group that thrives on new music, challenges, and working together with like minded performers.

This group run all year and has a monthly fee of $15 to be considered an active member. We meet once a week on Thursdays from 7:30-9:00pm. Communication is key and we are willing to be flexible with schedules when conflicts arise like performing in Musicals, Plays, Sports, Vacations, etc. All ages are welcome but members should be able to match pitch, work well in group settings, follow direction, and have a passionate and positive attitude. All potential members will have a free consultation with the Director Andi and members of the MNE board.

We've been keeping a secret over at our Music Notes Experience page! After a year off, we have decided to bring J.A.M.M. back to our community. We've been able to take the time to reflect, learn, and grow so that we can better serve our mission. The goal was always to have fun, make beautiful music, and share that with out community. We lost sight of that and needed the break to get rooted again. We are so excited to not only be bringing back our adult group of J.A.M.M which is intended for ages 16+, but we are also presenting J.A.M.M. Jr! which is intended for kids ages 10-16. If you have a love for contemporary music of all genres including Musical Theatre, we want to invite you to join us on Thursdays!

We are looking to add singers to our ensemble! We are a small group in Jackson that love to sing and perform. We rehearse weekly on Thursdays and do 5+ performances a year. We have fun while working hard to accomplish the music. We sing all different genres but learn towards pop, acapella, musical theatre, and contemporary. This is a volunteer adult group that relies on attendance and participation to function. Members are expected to have a general knowledge of music and be able to read music and hold a part.
