Doing my daily jungle walks allow me to spot things pretty quickly like these tiger lily bulbils. At first my half awake brain thought they were ticks and once I realized they weren't I was off researching. Apparently you're able to propagate with these, dunno as TBH it's the first time these have produced anything!

My favorite time of the day is my first walk in the jungle to see what's new. This morning I had four strawberries ready with plenty more on the way. My spotted petunias are gorgeous, huge, and I can't wait to collect seed pods. Now I'm blessed to have a bit of yard to work with but do not let lack of yard space stop you as my daughter harvested her first tomato today from the plant in her apartment!

Did a walk of the jungle and found my blueberries are starting to ripen!! This excites me as these were planted spring of 2025 and technically shouldn't have been allowed to produce as they're only a year old. Lesson learned for the asparagus that went in at the same time and I should update both pages in the garden journal. Won't be a shareable harvest this year but I'll get there.

What a great and productive day! Here and at my happy place. I'm slowly getting ripe strawberries and of course the critters found the patch today so we'll see how that goes. Staked my poppies as they were falling over to much. My cayenne peppers keep producing even though they are tiny and I keep plucking flowers. Cut garlic scapes tonight. This is my first year with it so I'm excited. Pulled the tulip bulbs tonight and am GEEKED to have tiny bulbs!!

Harvested the first strawberry today! More are coming but this one couldn't wait for that. I'm also excited to see the cauliflower growing. When I noticed it at first the head was small bouncy ball size, I'm thinking golf ball now but don't want to disturb it much. Many thanks to a 'hood hubby for mowing today

Two of my recent cayenne pepper up-pots had tiny peppers. They and any flowers were picked off so we can focus on growth. My strawberries are starting to ripen! Pretty sure my black petunias are a dud and I'll try again next year #

Love it when I can learn new things from others! This year one of the happy place crew introduced us to these plant hoops. Basically they're flexible tent poles and they are absoforkinloutely amazefookinballs!! As you can see they work well in a raised bed as well as your traditional garden. The other thing I accomplished was getting 16 pepper and one tomato plant mulched. I'll grab compost tomorrow so I can finish potting.
