I've been sitting on this idea for a while, and I'm finally doing it. I'm starting a Bar of the Month Club.

One month might be a Hat Bar.

Another could be friendship bracelets, ornaments, sweatshirts, book blinging, mugs, pens, rock painting, bath salts, wreaths, junk journals...or something I haven't thought of yet.

Some months you'll make the whole project at the studio. For some of the more expensive projects, you may be able to bring your own base and use all of my supplies to customize it.

Membership will be $10 a month, and that gets you to walk in for the $15 plus the cost of that month's project.

Don't want to join? That's okay, too. You'll be able to walk in for $15 plus the cost of that months project.

This is meant to be easy.

Come by yourself. Bring a friend. Stay and visit. Make your project and head out. No formal class.. No worrying about whether you're "creative enough."

Just come make something.

September starts tomorrow, and I'm ready for it.

There are some changes happening at Lori's Creative Gatherings this fall, and I'm pretty excited about them.

Apron Club is reopening...with a little bit of a makeover.

I'm starting a brand new Bar of the Month Club.

I'll be at Art in the Park at Hub City Brewery on September 19 with a Squishy & Slime Bar AND Blind Date With a Book.

And, of course, I'm still booking all the thing I already love doing: Birthdays, private gatherings, team events, fundraisers, girls' nights, family get-togethers, date nights and whatever else you can talk me into.

Painting? Absolutely.

Crafting? Yep.

Slime? Apparently I have become a slime person.

Have an idea I haven't mentioned?

Those might be my favorite messages to get.

September is already shaping up to be a fun one, but there's still plenty of room to add your gathering to it.

Apron club did a resin project this month, so getting photos as a group did not work, but here are a few I did manage to get.

But absolutely not “Dumb Blonde.” Although you do share Dolly’s talent for letting people underestimate you at their own peril. 😂

I have the rights to teach a painting of Dolly. If I had walk in hours on Sunday where you could come in and paint it. Would anyone be interested? It would be $25 for and 8x10 and $35 for an 11x14. Alternatively I could offer a butterfly as well. Let me know if this something you would be interested in, or if you would prefer a formal class, perhaps on Monday or Tuesday next week.

I had the sweetest couple come in for a date night this weekend. They did a great job on their paintings!

This week I had the opportunity to deliver 40 custom tote bags to the teachers at a middle school where my daughter is the principal.

Teachers spend so much of themselves helping others, so it was fun creating something just for them.

Projects like this remind me that creativity doesn't always happen on a canvas.

Sometimes it's something people carry into work every day.

Now I'm headed home inspired and ready for a busy fall season.
