Some of the fun glass bits we ordered especially for the new jewelry class happening this Saturday and Sunday!
Dichroic zig-zags, smooshed murrine wafers, citrus and flower murinne, twisted canes, and bullseye cane. The combinations and fun is going to be going strong here this weekend!
Saturday from 10am- 12pm we will assemble and arrange our glass elements and load into the kiln to fire overnight.
Sunday from 1-3pm we will unload the kiln and put together the glass bits with jump rings and wire to compete a set of your own jewelry! Take home any of your leftover bits to make more!

Pearl River Glass Conservatory is honored to welcome Bob Pennebaker—one of Mississippi’s most respected artists and educators—for a special 10-week drawing series this fall!

With decades of experience as a professional artist, former Chair of Visual Arts at Belhaven University, and a gifted instructor, Bob has helped generations of artists build strong drawing skills and artistic confidence.

Morning Intro to Drawing

Perfect for teens who are ready for serious art instruction and adults who want to build a solid foundation in drawing. Students will learn observation, composition, shading, perspective, and the essential skills that every artist needs.

Evening Figure Drawing
🗓️ Every Tuesday in September & October
🕕 6:00 PM–9:00 PM

An adults-only figure drawing class designed for artists who want to strengthen their understanding of the human form through guided instruction and live figure drawing exercises.

✨ Class size is limited to just 12 students to provide plenty of individual instruction, so don’t wait to reserve your spot!

If you haven’t had the chance to meet Bob, join us for a FREE lecture and Q&A on Tuesday, August 11, offered at 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Bob will share his creative philosophy, discuss his approach to teaching, and explain why drawing is the foundation of every visual art form. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get to know him and learn more about the upcoming classes.

We’re excited to share a preview of the beautiful handcrafted garden stakes that will be available at the Fondren Bottle Tree Garden Tour Artists Market this Saturday!

These one-of-a-kind works of art were lovingly created by the talented volunteer artists and teachers involved with the Conservatory. Every purchase helps support a great cause—100% of proceeds will go toward our new Field Trip Program, which provides FREE art class field trips for local public junior high and high school students.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated their time, talent, and support to make this fundraiser possible. This is our largest fundraiser of the year, and we truly couldn’t do it without you!

If any garden stakes remain after the market, they will be available for purchase in the front gallery shop at Pearl River Glass Studio.
