The Mississippi Youth Symphony Orchestra had an unforgettable morning at The MAX!

Our musicians were honored to fill the Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience Hall of Fame with music today! We were all inspired by the many MS artists who have come before us!

A heartfelt thank you to The MAX for hosting us with such warmth, and to our wonderful partners—the Meridian Symphony Orchestra and the Meridian Museum of Art—for making this experience possible.

We’re excited to continue building opportunities for young musicians across our state. If you’re interested in joining the MYSO family or learning more about training and membership, we invite you to attend an informational meeting at The MAX on January 8, 2026, from 6:30–8 p.m.

MYSO is heading over to Meridian for a fun-filled day at the Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience (The MAX)!
This Saturday, November 15th
9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
🎻 Youth Symphony Day

Our students will get a chance to perform, explore incredible exhibits, dive into Mississippi’s rich artistic legacy, and enjoy a day of inspiration, creativity, and music-making. 🎨🎵

If you live in or near Meridian and would like to hear us perform, head on over! We’d love to see you there.

Interested in joining the Mississippi Youth Symphony Orchestra? Explore membership and training opportunities at this Saturday's Youth Symphony Day, from 9:30 am–12 pm at The MAX.

Enjoy performances by the Mississippi Youth Symphony Orchestra, a hands-on Instrument Zoo from the Meridian Symphony Orchestra, and an art-making station with the Meridian Museum of Art.

Admission is $5 and FREE for school faculty and staff with valid institutional ID.

Our first performance of the MYSO Fall Season was a huge success, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all the love and support we received! 💕
We had such a fun time at the fair — great music, great crowd, and so many wonderful memories made.

🧙‍♂️✨ Harry Potter Day at the MS Children’s Museum! 🎶🪄

Our talented Flute Trio — Marisol Garcia, Maria Dietrich, and Taja Mock — and incredible Violin Soloist Anna Dietrich brought a touch of Magical Music to the festivities! 🎻✨

From enchanting melodies to wizarding fun, it was a day full of spells, smiles, and symphonic surprises. Thanks to everyone who joined us for this magical celebration! 💫 Thank you MS Children’s Musuem for hosting us!
