We want to share an important update with our Tumbleweed community: Andrew Munz has stepped down as Artistic Director, following the tragic passing of his mother late last year. The Board of Directors has accepted his resignation, recognizing his need to heal during this difficult time.
We are deeply grateful for Andrew’s leadership and tireless dedication to Tumbleweed Creative Arts. He helped reimagine what the Pink Garter Theatre could be for this community. Because of his work, countless local artists have had opportunities to create, perform, and grow.
During this transition, the Board of Directors has assumed oversight of the organization and is actively evaluating next steps for leadership, programming, and operations. We are focused on ensuring that Tumbleweed Creative Arts is positioned to operate sustainably while maintaining its mission.
Guided by that artist-powered, community-driven mission, Tumbleweed is convening an Artist Convocation, bringing together artists who have participated in past TCA productions to share input and help shape the organization’s next chapter.
Members of the broader arts community are encouraged to share feedback through a brief input form at tumbleweedcreativearts.org/input. Submissions will help inform the Board’s planning during this transition.
