"The Old Studio" painted by Mildred Nungester Wolfe in 1957.
Mildred wrote of the old studio in the monograph of her work: "I did not have a decent studio. Since the studio was a reasemblage of a building from Camp Shlelby, it had a very low roof. Karl assembled the hutment in an L-shape. His studio was the short end of the L, while the rest of the building served as a general work area and my studio. Though I had little light to see by, I continued to paint. I painted the old studio, one of my best paintings - first outdoors on the spot and then in my corner of the studio."
