Jason Daniels Music American Roots Music seamlessly blurring the lines between psychedelic rock, funk, latin & blues.

A few reviews of Downloads from the Universe:

“...an invigorating combination of soul, country, blues, jazz, gospel, and funk that stands as one of the most exciting and distinctive blends of multiple genres found anywhere this year.”
- Americana Highways

“These recordings sound loose, spontaneous, and reminiscent of 1970s LPs from acts like the Grateful Dead (the Keith and Donna Godchaux era) and Delaney and Bonnie.”
- Jeff Burger, The Morton Report

"A breath of fresh air in a time with so much turmoil, Downloads From The Universe is nothing if not a good time, and one that embraces jazz, Latin and rock ideas that flow with a loose feel that often sounds like it emanates from the ‘70s but sure sounds great in 2020."

Where there’s rainbows there is rain. I think we played five songs before the sky opened.

I'll be flying solo at The Station JXN tonight from 6-9.

I'll be flying solo at The Station JXN tonight from 6-9.

October’s got a little bit of everything. 🍂🎶

We’re kicking things off in Fondren with two nights at The Station — full band on 10/1, then Jason strips it down for a solo set on 10/2. On 10/16, we’ll bring the band over to Belhaven Town Center, then close out the month at Hatch Fest on 10/24.

From stripped-down songs to deep grooves and full-band jams, we’re looking forward to getting out there and sharing some music with y’all.

10/2 — Jason Daniels Solo | The Station
