Located in our historic downtown area, “The Ned” (officially known as the Ned R. McWherter West Tennessee Cultural Arts Center), serves as Jackson, Tennessee’s premiere performance space. The Ned provides West Tennessee with a performance space that is both intimate and high-tech. Our 2,200-square-foot, 420-seat theater features an advanced pulley system, special lighting, a superior sound system,

and perfect acoustics. This space is ideal for a diverse array of stage productions and will highlight the talents of any performer. Additionally, our Cultural Center contains two art galleries that can be used for traveling and local exhibits. Our stylish gallery space and meeting rooms are available for receptions, weddings, seminars, dinners, or other formal occasions. Our facilities, including restrooms and dressing rooms, are up-to-date and in full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Velveteen Rabbit / El Conejo de Terciopelo Elementary School Tour has completed! We visited seven locations and performed for 1600 students in the Jackson area. Shout out to Cazateatro Bilingual Theatre Group and Anton Garcia-Fernandez for their generous and collaborative spirit in making this project a reality. Another massive shoutout to this cast and crew! Some new Spanish and helped us hone the script, some learned Spanish for and during rehearsals - all of them brought their hearts and skills to this story.

Nothing will beat watching English-speaking and Spanish-speaking students engage with this cast. Thank you to all the schools that let us bring our story to you.
