Congratulations to you, Dr. Ebony Taylor, as you step into your new role as Director of the Carnegie! As we've worked with you, and come to know and love you, we can attest that you can step into any role. Onstage, you can sing the roof off the house as Effie in Dreamgirls, then turn around and guide us to 'happily ever after' as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother. From directing camps (Aristocats, The Jungle Book, Thriller) to directing mainstage productions (The Color Purple, Look Forward: The Ruby Bridges Story), you lead with vision, clarity, and—above all else—love.
It's not a large geographical move—the Carnegie is mere blocks from the Ned—but the step forward is immense. We're so thankful that you spent three wonderful years with us. We're better because of your voice, both onstage and, more importantly, in the conference room. We're better thanks to your mindfulness and compassion. We're better for your daily reminder to lead with love.
