It's a place where filmmakers and audiences share the same town for a few days. Conversations start at screenings and continue around Jackson. The setting keeps the festival personal and connected to the community.

Hey, New York, are you watching The Cycle of Love tonight at the Angelika Film Center? 🎬

The documentary follows the extraordinary true story of PK Mahanandia. In 1977, the Delhi street artist traveled 6,000 miles by bicycle to reunite with the woman he loved.

Director Orlando von Einsiedel joined us at JHIFF 2025 to share the story behind the film. Now it’s New York’s turn.

Jackson Hole has no shortage of good stories, or good places to gather around them.

We loved seeing the Color Vérité Film Festival focus on the true colors of nature and the stories found within it. We’re glad to be part of a Jackson Hole community that keeps making room for filmmakers, audiences, and new perspectives.

The film spotlights legendary percussionist Paulinho da Costa and the rhythm behind his decades-long music career. Here’s Paulinho with director Oscar Rodrigues Alves and JHIFF board member Alan Terpins during their time in Jackson Hole.

Summer in Jackson Hole means long days and time on the trails; winter brings snow, skis, and a whole different pace. We’re looking ahead to the season ahead, when films, filmmakers, and plenty of good conversation join the mix.

We were honored to recently share The Last First: Winter K2, director Amir Bar-Lev’s powerful look at the people, ambition, sacrifice, and complexity surrounding the first winter ascent of K2. ✨🗻

At the center of that history is the groundbreaking achievement of the Nepalese team that became the first to stand on K2’s summit in winter, including Nirmal Purja. Their accomplishment marked an extraordinary moment in mountaineering history and reshaped what was thought possible on one of the world’s most formidable peaks.

Following the recent passing of Purja, we’re reflecting on the film, the entire team behind this historic ascent, and a story that continues to resonate throughout the global mountaineering community.

The scale of the mountain. The risks of a winter ascent. The determination it takes to pursue something that has never been done before.

The Last First: Winter K2 gave us plenty to keep talking about long after the credits rolled. Thanks for experiencing it with us, Jackson Hole.
