Whew, where do I start with my speech for the Jammin’ Jewels!
As I reflect on this season we've spent together, this season has been challenging for us, God got us through it. I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude! To my amazing dancers, thank you for your incredible dedication, hard work, and passion for dance! Each and every one of you has contributed so much to LDS, and I'm truly honored to be able to be an amazing coach, mentor to each of you this season. You all have grown so much, and I’m definitely PROUD to be your COACH!
Your talent is truly remarkable, and your unwavering commitment has made each season unforgettable!! Whether it's your technical precision, your artistic expression, or your ability to bring joy to the community, or stage, you all have inspired each other in so many ways.
I can truly say that I am tremendously grateful, and proud of each one of you because not only you performed well, but also maintained great grades in school. I have always said If you can’t keep your grades up, it’s no need in wanting to be a great dancer! My heart is filled with so much joy as we end this season 2024-2025! I know this new season Is going to up another level, and I’m excited to see what new challenges we will face, but know God Is first in everything when It comes to LDS!
My Jewels have touched my heart In so many ways this season, and seeing the things they have to say about their coach means the world to me! 🥹
I want to personally thank Jus Tudy for our beautiful decoration for our end of the year banquet & being an amazing team mom, and to my cousin Whitney Gaston throughout the season for everything you all did for the Jammin Jewels this season! Hats off to you ladies! I would like to thank all my parents for your dedication, and letting your kids be apart of LDS! We dance, sing, step, cheer, cry, and praise TOGETHER! THAT’S A BOND YOU CAN’T BREAK!!! They don’t only dance just to perform, but to help teach them to take responsibility for their actions, remain dedicated to their goals, and never give up, even when things get tough.
Always remember one quote from coach, “Life is not waiting for the storm to pass, life is about dancing your way through the storm."
There’s always a bigger prize at the end!
