Feel Good Friday Story: Dennis Paster's Haunted Ghost Tour in Downtown Jackson
Dennis Paster, a passionate volunteer and native of Detroit, had a brilliant idea that brought a unique spark to his now beloved city of Jackson. As he shared in an interview, having moved to Jackson after a stint in Louisville, Dennis was struck by the rich history and the beauty of the city's old, empty buildings. He saw an opportunity to breathe new life into these structures and decided to create a haunted ghost tour. The idea was to showcase the city's historical heritage while offering a fun and spooky experience for locals and tourists alike.
Dennis was no stranger to the concept, having experienced similar ghost tours during his time in Louisville. He noted that the community in Jackson was always looking for new and exciting things to do, so why not tap into the city's history and heritage? With the support of the community and the dedication of fellow volunteers, the haunted ghost tour quickly became a reality.
The tour not only promised spine-tingling ghost stories but also an opportunity to explore the history of Jackson's iconic buildings. Dennis's dedication and the support of the community made the tour a tremendous success, with businesses and sponsors eager to get involved. Dennis's love for his city, the enthusiasm of local businesses, and the warm embrace of the community came together to create a "big little city" with a thriving cultural scene that was always looking for more ways to celebrate its history and bring people together.
If you see Dennis walking on the sidewalks, tell him "Hello!" and please thank him for creating an event that highlights the rich architecture of the city.
