You are formally welcome to the BQE Billiards 30-Year Anniversary Party! BQE Billiards began 30 years ago in 1991 when brothers Nick and John Katelas, both of whom immigrated from a small village in Greece, remodeled an old airplane manufacturing plant into an elegant pool room in the heart of Queens, New York.

Our mission has always been to offer wholesome entertainment and a pleasant dining experience to friends and families of all ages and our longevity has been a testament to the fulfillment of that goal. Through the good and bad times we have stood by our community and they have stood by us including 2021 which was a difficult year for all of us, especially BQE Billiards, which in addition to the temporary closure of our business we sadly lost John Katelas.

As an act of gratitude to the loyalty and patronage of our customers and in remembrance of John, we are celebrating the 30 year anniversary of BQE Billiards on Monday, November 22 from 7pm to 11pm. Please come and join us!

After being closed for 2 days because we had to clean up water from the heavy rainstorm on Wednesday night BQE Billiards is now open. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience. Once again we are now open.

Yet another important reminder: BQE Billiards & Bar is now open from 11am to 11pm every day and in the months to follow we will be able to extend our hours as the pandemic gradually wanes. Important reminders: BQE is opened for business inside and out. For those who wish to dine outside we just installed four outdoor heaters inside our outdoor patio that generate alot of heat. It's as comfortable as eating in your dining room. Lastly but not least indoor dining will legally be back in NYC on February 14th. So write it up. We can't wait too see you again old friends!

After 306 days, 7,344 hours, 440,640 minutes and 26,438,400 seconds, BQE Billiards is finally reopening its doors on Saturday, January 23rd for billiards, ping pong and all games at 50% capacity. For the first time since March 16, 2020 we are here to help you return to the normalcy you’ve all been craving. Let’s celebrate this grand reopening today together at 70-02 34th Avenue in Jackson Heights, Queens. Our current hours are 2pm - 10pm. We also have a new and beautiful outdoor dining enclosure for those who want to dine safely and warmly.

We just opened a beautiful outdoor dining area featuring a menu with never before special dishes and drinks giving all of you the opportunity to experience some of the most delectable cuisine and savory alcoholic beverages in the city. We are reinventing ourselves for a short period of time until we fully reopen once the city permits indoor dining, drinking and playing. I guarantee we will not disappoint as these new menu offerings are absolutely delicious, to be enjoyed in a beautifully designed outdoor setting that will also nourish your soul. Message to the best patrons in the whole city: We are temporarily closed for the same reason every other restaurant and bar and public establishment in New York City is temporarily closed: because of a city ban on traffic in places of public accommodation to contain the coronavirus pandemic.
