Just launched the new Beyond Bonsai Studio website, powered by a completely custom WordPress Full Site Editing (FSE) Block Theme that I designed and developed from scratch.
Like bonsai itself, every detail was shaped with patience and purpose.
No bloated page builders. No off-the-shelf template.
Instead, I focused on creating:
- A lightweight, performant custom theme
- A cohesive visual identity inspired by Japanese garden aesthetics
- Native WordPress Block Editor & Full Site Editing
- Responsive layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile
- Performance, accessibility, and SEO-first architecture
- A scalable foundation built for future expansion
One phrase from the footer captures the philosophy behind the project:
"Crafted with patience — like bonsai itself."
That line isn't just about the trees—it's how I approach software, design, and problem solving. Great digital experiences are cultivated over time through thoughtful iteration and attention to detail.
This project challenged me to grow as both a developer and designer, and I'm excited to continue building modern WordPress experiences that balance performance, usability, and craftsmanship.
