Dundun Dance classes Dundun dance is originally from Guinea, West African and was traditionally practiced & performed by women only. If interested, you MUST reserve via email.

Through his vision, creativity and mastery of this unique and powerful dance style, the late Mr. Kemoko Sano introduced Dundun dance to the United States more than a decade ago by choreographing touring performances with some of the lead dancers of Les Merveilles De Guinee and Les Ballets Africains. e very popular throughout the country. I've studied and performed Dundun dance under the direction of 4 of these leading all-stars - Mouminatou Camara, Karamoko Camara, and Naby Bangoura and Mbemba Bangoura. Hey friends,

Happy New Year! The holidays have passed and it is time to get moving and drumming. Please join us in welcoming 2016 with a dance and a bang!

We're on for Friday, Dec. 8th - 6:30-8pm at City Health Club -402 West Green Street. ($15). Make sure to email your drum and stick reservation.

If you are interested in being a part of the drumming ensemble for class, Jon will be holding a mini drum lesson from 6-6:30pm. This lesson is FREE and a wonderful opportunity to dig a bit deeper into the rhythm that is played for class. We are looking to build our accompaniment ensemble and would love to fill the space on a regular basis.

I met with the drumming ensemble a few days ago to get ready for the series...We are gonna have a blast! We are so fortunate to have a strong and positive community of drummers to play for us every Saturday. If you haven't signed up, please do so asap so that I can assure you a drum and sticks. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow at 11am!

The Dundun Dance series at Stewart park begins THIS Saturday! Come on out and celebrate Saturday mornings with music, dance and a fabulous community of people. (August 1st, 15th, 22nd & 29th/ $20/workshop -4 class pack- $60) If interested, post below this status so that I can reserve a drum and sticks for you. We meet across from the pond at Stewart. It's a great way to start your day!
