For those of you in the Finger Lakes region of upstate NY: This Sunday, 12/14 from 11 to 5, come out to the December holiday show at Danby Gathery Artworks! A dozen local artists have work for sale, including paintings, prints, photography, pottery, and so much more. I’ll be there with a selection of mini quilts, small, original paintings, and gift packs of note cards. The gallery looks beautiful with a wonderfully eclectic selection of possible gifts. Hours are Friday 12 to 6, Saturday 11 to 6 and Sunday 11 to 5. On Sunday only, 30% of all sales will be donated to the local food bank. Location: 1774 Danby Rd. at the intersection of Gunderman Road, just a few miles south of Ithaca College.

Last four days to see “Imaginary Landscapes” at Ithaca’s State of the Art Gallery, an exhibit of the abstract paintings and fiber art of Barbara Behrmann and Katrina Morse. If you’re heading out to the Apple Harvest Festival this weekend, come check out the show… a point of departure for exploring the ways in which various design elements come together to suggest something about familiar and unknown. Thursday through Sunday, 12 to 5. The gallery is located behind the food trucks at 120 W. State Street.

Thrilled to announce that I am the newest member of FASA, Fiber Artists of Southern Arizona, a group of 12 extraordinarily talented women who together create an incredibly diverse body of work. I first saw their work years ago at an exhibit at the Tucson airport and never would have thought that I would be invited to join them. Truly honored! (This show was planned before I became a member.
