From the “I Have A Dream” speech in Washington, DC on August 28, 1963. The quotation serves as the theme of the overall design of the memorial, which realizes the metaphorical mountain and stone.

May we all continue to gain perspective and work together towards peace.

Saturday’s poetry reading will be in the same space as my current solo show “Herstory and Theirstory, as Told Through Sports” which is on view at all throughout March! Join me and other amazing poets tomorrow evening from 6-8pm 🫶 [Image 4.] Visitors to my show are invited to consider the art which is not behind glass, and how easy it is to not touch something which does not consent to be touched.

The exhibition is OPEN at 🙌 I’ll be here this evening from 4pm-7pm for 🫶 Piece pictured: “Catching Bottles” is a mixed media collage using a child’s lacrosse stick as a canvas. The piece speaks about the color pink’s contribution to compulsory heterosexuality, and how the prescription of this color in early childhood reenforces patriarchal standards. My show, “Herstory and Theirstory, as Told Through Sports,” is on view every day in March to celebrate

My next solo show opens March 1st! “Herstory and Theirstory, as Told Through Sports”

Using primary and secondary found resources, the artist explores the evolving position and perception of women and non-binary individuals in society throughout history, as shown through sports.
